International Ministries
As a church of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada, we like to say, “Missions is our middle name.” We support the global initiatives of our larger family of churches through financial support, prayer and keeping in touch with our International Workers. A percentage of our general offerings is designated to supporting the living expenses of these workers. International Workers who arrive home in Canada are invited to minister to the congregation through speaking in worship services, or participating in small groups.
Adult Peer Groups
We call our small groups “Peer Groups.” Groups magnify opportunities for belonging, growth and service. “Peer” is an acronym of Praying, Equipping in God’s Word, Encouraging, and Releasing gifts for service. A Peer Group consists of three or more people who agree to meet together for a defined period of time for a particular reason. Groups may meet weekly, every other week, or monthly. They may study the Bible together, focus on prayer for specific needs, develop their gifts or skills, or provide an encouraging context for people to develop relationships and grow. Peer Groups may be for women, men, both men and women, or various ages and interests. We have a growing library of resources available to Peer Groups and anyone interested in beginning a group is encouraged to talk to the lead pastor for help or resources.
Marketplace Ministry
“Faith 9 to 5” is an annual event featuring guests who speak to the issue of integrating faith and the workplace. Each fall, this event invites people from the church and community to consider how God is involved in the marketplace. Sermon series and occasionally small groups also address faith at work.
BASIC (Believers and Seekers Informal Conversations) takes place every Thursday from 12:15-12:45 during the noon hour. It is an opportunity to step out of the workplace for a few moments of spiritual reflection and encouragement. Participants may simply arrive; there is no registration and no charge, and they may feel free to bring lunch as well.
Library
Our church library contains quality books and DVDs, including fiction, and non-fiction.

Marriage and Family Ministry
Each year, in winter or spring, Leduc Alliance features an emphasis on marriage or an aspect of family life. For example, “The Marriage Course” or events with guest speakers have helped encourage and strengthen marriages.
Compassion Care Ministry
Our Compassion Care ministry exists to provide Christ-like care to individuals and families during times of crisis, illness and suffering so that they may experience God’s healing touch through the body of Christ. Examples of how this ministry serves people include meals, crisis care, transportation, and other practical help. Call the church office in order to find out if this ministry can serve you.
Mentoring Ministry
We strive to nurture a culture of mentoring where everyone acknowledges his or her influence on others, those in the church and those in the community. Mentoring is a relationship in which participants help one another learn skills, share concerns, ask questions, plan futures, or discover spiritual insights. In the context of nurturing a mentoring culture, we are developing specific plans to help people find mentoring partners when they need them.
Prayer Ministry
We encourage Peer Groups to make prayer a distinct part of their group life. Moreover, a group might make prayer its primary reason to meet together. We also encourage worshippers to take time following Sunday worship for prayer either individually or in groups. The Elders are available for prayer following worship services or at any other time one wishes to call on them and arrange to meet. Anyone may convey prayer requests through “Partners in Prayer” an email service that shares prayer requests with those dedicated to praying for expressed needs. And all are invited to join in a time of prayer on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. for the Sunday morning worship service.
